How to make a website fulfill its role?

It is very important that the company has its own domain, preferably with the extension .com or national like .uk, .it, .fr. This can be the name of the company, sometimes the term industry is used. An important condition is the address as short as possible, easy to remember and save, because some customers will rewrite it, e.g. from business cards or advertisements printed in the press, banners, etc.

Second: no ads on company website

Free platforms with websites or free website templates have the disadvantage that they often display other people's advertisements. The fact that a website is also becoming a "bulletin board" is an inconvenience that you "pay" for using such a free solution. However, if the company wants to focus on building a professional image, it is better to avoid placing such intrusive ads.

Third: visible contact details

Each company website is to facilitate contact with the company. That is why it is very important to include current data, such as telephone number and e-mail address. If the company has an office or other premises where it serves customers, its current address should also be provided.

Fourth: the specific offer described

Internet users do not have much time. They want to get the information they need quickly. Therefore, the description of the offer and the company itself on the website should be as short as possible, understandable and specific. Of course, the point is not to limit important content, but to avoid over-expanding the description, if this extension would contribute little to the whole.

Fifth: nice graphic design of the website

Layout of the website, i.e. graphics and page layout are pleasing to the eye, users are more eager to browse the website. The company's website should therefore be designed in a modern way. It is worth equipping it with professional photos - now you can buy them at very affordable prices in so-called photo banks. The font used, i.e. the typeface, is also important for receiving the content. Use commonly available fonts on computers on various operating systems. Let's make sure that the texts are clear even for people who have poor eyesight.

Sixth: original photos and texts

It is necessary to ensure that unique texts appear on the company's website. It is worth remembering that every article or description on internet has its author who owns the copyright for his work. Do not copy someone else's content. Fortunately, companies do not have to write texts on their own, if they do not have experience in this field - they can outsource it to website designers.

Photos are a separate matter. Here there are two options: you can do them yourself (e.g. at the company's location) or buy in the so-called photo banks. Again, website designers can help with this. It is definitely not advisable to arbitrarily download photos from other people's websites to put them on your own. Of course, there are photographs available in the so-called public domain or made available by the authors for free, but if you publish them, you must be 100% sure that such graphics have actually been made available for free use.
